Clarifying preparation shampoo is designed to cleanse thoroughly before straightening. Its cleansing agents, called surfactants, help lift excess sebum and styling-product residue so they can be rinsed away. This step leaves a cleaner surface and helps establish suitable conditions for applying the straightening treatment, in line with its protocol.
Daily or maintenance shampoo is intended for regular washing, balancing cleansing and care according to the needs of the scalp and hair lengths. It does not necessarily have the same clarifying action.
Frequency of use depends on the formula. Follow the manufacturer’s protocol: a maintenance shampoo is not automatically a substitute for the recommended preparation product.
The right size depends on your frequency of use and your hair. Length and density affect the amount needed; hair type, strand thickness and condition also guide the choice of formula and protocol.
100 ml: occasional needs. A compact size to consider for an occasional treatment, after checking the recommended dose. It does not automatically provide a full application for every head of hair.
1 L: regular needs. A practical size for professionals carrying out several treatments, taking storage conditions after opening into account.
