Forest Protein: two 100 ml bottles for a first straightening treatment

The kit brings together the Forest Tanino clarifying shampoo and the Forest Protein straightening treatment, 100 ml each. This is a single-head quantity: you try it, you judge it, and then you decide if the liter at €119.90 is worth the investment. The formula is free of glyoxylic acid and formaldehyde. Lana Brasiles intends it for colored and highlighted hair, announces a concentrate of vegetable proteins and Amazonian oils, and notes an application without smoke or odor — which is important when working at home, without a hood.

How to apply it

Two clarifying shampoos in a row, without conditioner. Blow dry until 80% dry. The straightener is applied to fine strands, leaving half a centimeter free at the roots, for a clean straightness without a stick-straight effect. Leave on, rinse, dry completely, then iron. The processing time and iron temperature are indicated on the instructions included with the bottle: this is the only reference to follow, it takes into account the condition of the hair, colored or virgin.

🧤🥽 Protection: Wear gloves and goggles. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Low toxicity product, but may irritate eyes/mucous membranes.

🌬️ Environment: Work in a well-ventilated area.

Step 1 — Clarifying Pre-wash 🧴

1 - Wet hair with lukewarm water.

2 - Apply Forest Tanino Clarifying Shampoo to the scalp and lengths. Massage for 1–2 minutes. 🫧

3 - Rinse, then repeat if necessary until hair “squeaks” (cuticle is fully open).

4 - Towel dry then pre-dry with a hairdryer to ~80–90%.

Step 2 — Forest Protein Smoothing Treatment Application ✨

1 - Divide hair into 4–6 sections.

2 - Apply the product strand by strand, 0.5–1 cm from the scalp (avoid skin).

Indicative quantities: 20–30 ml for short hair, 30–50 ml for medium hair, 50–70 ml for long hair.

3 - Comb through to distribute evenly (without oversaturating).

4 - Processing time under a cap or in open air: 20–40 min depending on hair resistance (strand test recommended).

5 - Blow-dry hair 100% straight.

Step 3 — Thermal Activation with a Flat Iron 🔥

- Work in thin sections (0.5–1 cm).
- Indicative temperatures (adjust according to strand test):
- Natural/thick hair: 220–230 °C
- Colored/highlighted hair: 200–210 °C
- Bleached/sensitized hair: 180–190 °C
- Passes: 6–10 passes on mid-lengths/lengths (4–6 on ends), fluid motion.

Goal: Seal the smoothing effect without burning the fiber.

Step 4 — Rinsing & Care 🚿

- Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Drying & Finishing 💨

- Blow-dry and style with a light brush to polish the surface.
