This kit brings together the 1 L smoothing treatment, which the brand designs for the densest hair, and the 500 g repairing mask from the same range. What the kit contains

• Forest Tanino Brazilian Smoothing Treatment 1 L — created by Lana Brasiles around Barbatimão tannin, a Brazilian bark, and Murumuru butter. The manufacturer announces a formula without formaldehyde or glyoxylic acid. One liter covers five to seven heads depending on length and density.
• Forest Tanino Repairing Mask 500 g — the deep treatment in the range, to be applied once a week between two services. The 500 g format keeps pace with the liter: it doesn't run out after three uses.

Why the large mask format

Bought separately, the smoothing treatment and mask cost €172.80. The kit brings them together for €159.90, a difference of €12.90 — the biggest discount of the Forest Tanino liter kits.

The choice of format depends on the rhythm of use. Two hundred grams will last one head for one cycle; five hundred grams will last as long as the liter of smoothing treatment, or can be used for several heads in a salon. This is the format included in this kit.

The process

The protocol begins with two shampoos using Forest Tanino clarifying shampoo, which must be purchased in addition to the kit. Dry to 80%, apply strand by strand, keeping one centimeter from the roots, leave on, rinse, dry completely, then iron with fine strands, eight to ten passes. Lana Brasiles prints the processing time and temperature on the bottle: this is the only reliable source, as they vary with hair texture and density.

Then, the mask takes over once a week. To delay the return of volume at the roots, the routine of the Forest Tanino maintenance kit replaces usual washes.
